I went to the doctor aug 2010 thinking maybe old age was setting in early by the end of my visit she was scheduling a multitude of tests and telling me I should not have those symptoms at my age, 41. A year later (5 weeks ago) after positive ana that flipped to negative and all kinds of blood work that seemed terrible one minuet and normal the next, I was told that I have sero negative lupus by my rheumatologist. Is that real, or is it just something they say when they don’t know what you have? In September I had what I at first thought was a heart attack but then realized was something else. The hospital gave me shots in the stomach and told me it wa blood clots in the lungs after an x-ray. I later was able to cofirm with the rheumatologist that it was Pleurisy in the lungs. I now take plaquenil,prednisone and methotrexate.
Is sero negative lupus real? my swelling has stopped, and my deep muscle pain is gone so something is working. Side effects stink.
