Recommended Lupus Books
I have created this reading list because these books that I have found have been very helpful in my understanding of Lupus and other related autoimmune conditions. There are too many old books that are out of date and can be quite frightening to read so I hope the information below will help you make a good decision on which books to buy.

It is well set out and easy to use, you don’t need to read the whole book; you can just read the section you are interested in. |

Mindfulness Meditation For Pain Relief By Jon Kabat-Zinn ISBN 978-1-59179-740-1 This is another one of my well-used books. My counsellor was the first person to introduce me to Mindfulness Meditation, which we have practiced at all my counselling sessions for the past two years. Many times I have almost given up on it, you won’t get instant results, but I have found that over time I am practicing it more at home. I also like to practice it in difficult times such as: waiting in Doctors waiting rooms and school parents evenings when I get particularly stressed. This book covers depression and how to overcome it with the help of a mindfulness meditation CD. |
