Hi, I am new to the boards here, as I was just diagnosed with SCLE 2 weeks ago. I have had a rash since August 2012. First was given antibiotic, it didn’t work, then was given clobetasole to mix in lotion. It worked as long as I used it every day for 2 weeks, when I stopped using it it came back. Rash finally got a lot worse about a month ago. Went to dermatologist and he did a biopys. It came back 2 weeks later as positive for SCLE. I am currently on 400mg a day of Plaquenil. After a week rash got much worse, so I went back and he gave me 12 days of predisone, starting at 60 mg for 3 days and decreasing a little after that. Rash if finally starting to improve a little, but my arms, chest and back, especially my back is horrible looking. People just chringe when they look at me. It feels like an extremely bad sunburn.

These have been my labs for the past few years, Ana 1:160 speckle, RNP 7.8 reference range < o.9>,ds DNA ab1:320 reference range 1:10. Total hair loss for 10″years, fatgiue, migraines, weight loss, gastro and cardiac issues, and hypothyroid.
